How to Fall Asleep

Start with twenty long, slow, deep breaths. All the way in, and all the way out.

Then sing yourself some nice, slow, quiet, sleepy songs.

Then think of all the nice things that happened to you today, all the things you’d like to do tomorrow, and all the things you’d like to do differently to try to be the best person you can be.

And if you’re still awake after all that, count to one hundred, very slowly and quietly — one… two… three… four… five… (getting quieter as you go)… You’ll be asleep before you know it.

I’ll see you in the morning.
