Liberty is a Social Construct

Just writing, just living, just trying to start a daily practice to put some words on a page. In a salon while B gets a haircut. It’s kind of loud in here. Hard to think, hard to write.

Want to reference The Greatest Showman - This is Me for some lyrics. Something about being an individual, being a freak, being outside the norm for pretty basic things like wanting peace, calling out nation-state bullies, not wanting to kill animals to survive when we don’t need it, being kind, not being selfish, wanting all people to live a life free of hunger, poverty, and cruelty.

Liberty is meaningless if you don’t afford it to anyone but yourself. Liberty is a social construct. It applies to the community, not to the individual.
